Global Logon Credentials Are Not Being Passed To HFM |
| | Modified 10-NOV-2010 | |
Applies to:Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management - Version: 11.1.1.3.00 to 11.1.2.0.00 - Release: 11.1 to 11.1 Information in this document applies to any platform.
SymptomsCurrently the FDM HFM Adpater "Logon Method" integration setting is configured as "Global" and the "Global Logon Method" option is populated with a valid HFM username/password. When performing a data load to HFM the global login is not being used to load the data. The Unified Logon Method (i.e. the UserID, Password, and Domain values used to log into FDM are passed to Financial Management, not the UserID and Password values in the Global Logon Information Integration Setting) is being used.
CauseCurrently the "SSO Enabled" Integration Option is enabled within the application. When the "SSO enabled" integration option is set to the on status, Shared Services Authentication is used, which overrides the global logon method. There is unpublished documentation Bug 9943169: ENABLE SSO OPTION BREAKS GLOBAL LOGIN FUNCTIONALITY
SolutionIf the Global Logon Method is used to integrate with the HFM Target System, the "SSO Enabled" option must be disabled. Note: Global login means that the same single user id is always used to connect to HFM regardless of who you log in with. But SSO means that if you launch FDM from HFM then your user id will get automatically logged in e.g. the users match up.
