Unable To Print Or Preview In Hyperion Enterprise And Hyperion Enterprise Reporting

Hyperion Enterprise - Version: 5.0.1.0.00 to 6.5.1.0.00 - Release: 5.0 to 6.5
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

1) Nothing happens clicking on print or preview in Hyperion Enterprise and Hyperion Enterprise Reporting even if the print option is enabled. 

2) Nothing happens clicking on printer select option. 


Cause


The location of the Hyperion Enterprise Reporting directory should appear first in the environment variables PATH followed by the location of the Hyperion Enterprise directory.

Solution


1. Right-click on "My Computer" 
2. Choose Properties 
3. Choose the ADVANCED tab 
4. Choose the ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES button 
5. In the SYSTEM VARIABLES highlight the variable named PATH and click on the EDIT button 
6.Make sure the PATH starts with the first entry pointing to the location of the Hyperion Enterprise Reporting directory, followed by the location of the Hyperion Enterprise directory 
7. Click OK to apply all changes 

Here is an example of path statement: 

C:\Program Files\Hyperion Solutions\Hyperion Enterprise Reporting;C:\Program Files\Hyperion Solutions\Hyperion Enterprise.
