User cannot see Journals When Accessing Process Journals via the Web

Symptoms

User cannot see journals in Financial Management Web while other users with the same access rights can.

However, the user can see the journals in Financial Management Windows Client.

Cause

The journals displayed depend on whether a filter is currently applied or not. The filters applied are user-specific.

The Journal filter was set to an entity different to the entity to which the journals were posted. 
If an entity filter  filter is applied, then only journals posted for that entity are displayed, and other journals won't be displayed.

Solution


Remove the current filter as follows:


1. Login into the FM application via the Web client with the problematic user account.
2. From Browser view list, double click on Tasks and then Journal Tasks.
3. Select Process Journals.
4. From the main window, click on Filter button.
5. Select Filter tab and then make sure that no filter is applied.
